Apps are not my friend…but there is some good to the sorry tale…

Yesterday was pure travel. Savannah to ATL to San Antonio. That was the plan and it was all going so well until ATL! B10 was the gate and even though we were delayed, transfer to gate on time to find that it was right beside a place that, no matter how much time I spend in ATL airport I have not had a chance to try yet…

Is coffee going to be enough in the future?

…or will have have to supplement this wonderful stimulant in the morning with more…5 hour energy…No-Doze…because the key note speech that I have just listened to makes my energy in the classroom look like a 90-year old on a walker with a hearing problem.
But….I need to back up….there are ducks to talk about and interesting conversations to be relayed before I even start to process all of this.

And so to Memphis…

It’s hot! Summer on HHI is a mixture of knowing that you are going to sweat…but just how much will depend on the humidity and the wind that may be blowing at the time.
Today’s flights were from Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport and Atlanta International Airport. I hope that this was not going to be a rerun of that.

The Mugs don’t have deep pockets.

In the last 3 days we have been overcharged 3 times for items in stores! Two items where from out local grocery store, one was from gassing up the car. In the case with the grocery store, this was an error by the person serving at the fish counter. The gas station was an oversight on setting the correct price for premium fuel.

I don’t need anything, well, just my phone but nothing else!

This year for fun and education (although many of our friends know another way that we might refer to this…but this is a public blog…,*wink*) Chris and I took a road trip around ‘Lesser Spotted America’. The trip took us through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. One of the goals of this trip was to try and use ‘mom and pop’ establishments all the way. This proved more difficult to do as we wanted to stick to a tight budget. Another goal was to record blog the trip whilst on the road. A good test as to how the telecommunication industry is reaching out to small town America and to ascertain what the digital divide is like between rural and urban USA.
